Informix on Linux logo

This and the pages that follow have been assembled in an attempt to better organize Informix on Linux material that has originally published on various issues of Tim Schaefer's excellent InxUtil online magazine.

What follows is not to be intended as an Informix tutorial, but just a list of hints, tricks and issues to be aware of when installing and setting up SCO ports of Informix products on a Linux box. To keep up with this philosophy, the only advice you'll get here regarding OnLine or IDS is

Load the ibcs module, and install OnLine as you normally would. There's nothing else to it.

Enough talk. Here's the scoop.
